Want to know what happens if you get invited to the World Championships and can't make it? Got third place in a qualifier and want to know if you have a chance? Here's our official policy on the Road to Gen Con and alternates.

To ensure that there are exactly two invited players from each Road to Gen Con event, upon the determination of the two qualifiers, attempts will be made to determine if said qualifiers can attend the show in Indianapolis, IN on Saturday, August 12.

If a player is confirmed not to be able to attend, then the third place player in the same qualifying event will be given the invitation. If the third place player cannot attend, then the fourth place player will be given the invitation, on down the line until there are two confirmed attendees from each qualifier. All eight attendees will receive 4-day passes to Gen Con.
